National Institute for Standards and Technology - Summer High School Intern Program

During Summer 2019, I participated in the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Summer High School Intern Program (SHIP). Worked with a mentor to implement several published equations of state using Mathematica, then converted these programs to C++ code, and finally integrated them with the NIST’s ThermoData Engine database for data analysis and graphical representation. This procedure can be applied to a variety of EOS and chemical substances. In particular, researched equations of state that are specific to Hydrogen Fluoride, a highly polar compound that is difficult to model.
