Assembling a piece of ground support equipment for IDEX in the LASP clean room.

LASP Mechanical Engineering Intern

From November 2021 - September 2022, I designed ground support equipment for LASP's Interstellar Dust Experiment (IDEX), created CAD models and GD&T drawings, and ordered parts for fabrication for the instrument. I also supported test efforts by writing test plans and procedures for various instrument tests. While most of my work is not publicly available to share in my portfolio, I am happy to discuss my experiences if contacted separately. I grew significantly as an engineer through my experiences working with an interdisciplinary team, and enjoyed being involved during the project's Critical Design Review.
