Since summer 2022, I have been a pika patroller for the Colorado Pika Project. I have been trained to complete surveys for the Pika Project so that they can track pika activity in Rocky Mountain National Park over time. Pikas are particularly sensitive to climate change, so population data can help scientists understand how climate change might affect alpine ecosystems and how to mitigate these effects.

I have been a kitten foster parent for the Dumb Friends League and Animal Friends Alliance, two local animal shelters, since December 2020. Since I started fostering kittens, I have fostered over 25 of them and adopted two. As a foster parent, I am responsible for the social and physical development of these young cats.
